Line that stood out “A few years ago, professor Hendrik Bessembinder, of Arizona State University, published an interesting study. He tabulated the performance of publicly traded companies over the past 92 years. The result was pretty shocking.
He found that only 4% of listed companies were responsible for 100% of the net gain for the entire stock market. The other 96% did just as well as one-month Treasury bills. Velumani has to decide whether he wants to be part of the 4%. If he does, he should think like Jeff Bezos and Steve Jobs and ignore the silly chatter of investors and analysts and also stop beating himself up about the share price.
