This book was gifted to me by one of the blog follower and have to say it’s must read. Scale is written by Geoffrey West, who is theoretical physicist and but this book seems to show his area of interest is much more than that, he tries to connect physics – biology to humans to company to cities to country and economy up-to some extend. Below are my notes of the same.

He did all this before 1900. (Humans can be way more stupid that one can expect it predict).
How to extend life – decrease food intake by 10% and you increase your lifespan by 10% – scientist proved this. (Given number of food delivery & hotel discount app, along with FB & Instagram – this can be very challenging task.

Four companies produce most cattle, beef, sheep, pig, chicken, egg, etc.
Our energy consumption has gone up like hockey stick and nuclear power is better & safe.
Average commuting time is 1hr on average from home to office across the world.
