The Long Shot – Corona
I have got invited to online signature and handwriting analysis workshop, online dj performance, online guitar learning class not to forget dance too, along with few invite to cooking, astrology, etc etc. We will finally know whether online education model is viable or not due to Covid-19. Many of us have enrolled but whether we will sustain and form new habit or quickly go back to old school once everything normalises is key question. Another thing is we will probably form new habits, like most middle class didn’t use to have hand sanitizer and tissues, suddenly those will become must have part in regular life.
In USA there are people called preppers, they are the one who plan for doomsday scenario. They have nuclear proof bunkers stored with two survival stuff from food to clothes, sanitizer, tissue and guns for protection. I wonder if some of the people in our country also turn up to be hoarders of food stuff so that next time they are ready for lockdown.
Of course more stuff needs more storage space – either normal storage space or refrigerator. If it’s refrigerator – expect people to buy double door big size refrigerator.
How we order, purchase, buy stuff might just change to online if it doesn’t require one to physically check or see product.
Lot of schemes have been announced by Central and State government, of which many are transfer or access to goods, post Covid-19 many will assure they bank accounts are linked to Aadhar and they name are registered with all govt agency.
Newspaper is something still lots of can’t do without. And reading pdf copies of newspapers in cellphone is some task, I think either people will switch to apps or buy iPad.
Diseases spread even during travel, One wonders if more People switch to personal vehicle as mode of transport vs public transport (of course affordability and income level would be key determinant) or shun shared/pool cab and opt for personal cab.
Lot of people’s travel plan for cancelled, given its summer time. And not everyone is lucky to get refund, I wonder if people start opting for travel insurance and also many companies enter this sector.
Lot of people who still didn’t but insurance and mediclaim, bought in fear of Corona Virus and few bought top-up plan/exclusive coverage of Corona Virus. Even thought budget disallowed deduction if you opt for new tax regime.
Once it’s over telecom companies will probably know peak data consumption.
